“Its that exciting Christmas time again! I love Christmas – I even love all the stress that goes with it!  I insist on a real Christmas tree every year because I love the smell in house, it reminds me of being a kid again.  The last few years though the trees don’t seem to radiate a lot of smell anymore?  Has anyone else noticed this?  My friend has recently bought one of those trees (artificial) that you just pull up and its all done, baubles and all... I couldn’t do it, every year I have a fantasy in my head that my kids and I will decorate the tree as Bing Crosby Christmas songs play in the background, while Kurt and I sip lovely wine & everyone is so happy... Of course it ends up Kurt and I on our knees trying to untangle lines of lights & tinsel, trying to find that blasted one broken light that makes all the other lights not work.  Yelling at the kids to get out of the way, the boys spraying the snow cans at each other rather than the windows and princess trying to put baubles on before tinsel (which is not right!).  But... I still love it!

My 12 year old has announced this year that he refuses to have our usual Christmas photo taken with santa this year... what?  I understand, but I’m gutted!  We have some hilarious ones in our archive of Santa photos, here’s a few of my favs!

We are usually spot on with our new mum gifts too or lovely maternity leaving gifts.  I find Christmas Gifts a little harder.. especially for a guy!  But I guess as long as there is wine or food in there somewhere, its all good!
